What's new

Another new to shard question! Is treasure hunting worth it on this shard?

I know alot of things work differnt on this shard is is T- Map hunting worth it? Was thinking about making one to go with my tamer but was not sure if its worth it.

Heya, me again. Yep, totally worth it. One of the best ways to get aspect cores and skill scrolls which can be worth a lot of gold. Level 3 T-maps give two of each and are pretty easy to do. Any magic items, gold, skill balls are gravy.

Sweet since your so helpful what build is the best to go with and do you just do them with a peace tamer?

For me, I got a mage tamer and what I do is go mark a rune near the location then gate my pets there and I duo with a friend who is a lock-picker/provoke build who comes in at that point. He provokes and I clear then he removes trap and picks and we move on.

If I were solo I would simply do the same thing but I would clear the mobs with my tamer and I'd gate in my alt on 2nd account who would be a stealth picker. That requires a mage tamer which I 'm not sure if yours is?

Having a 2nd char to do your picking would give that char room to do dungeon stealth picking too if you wanted to try that. Not the greatest gold per hour but it seems like it's a chill and fairly safe way to make a few K gold while having a shot at skill balls.

No matter what, cartography should be on a 3rd house char to just decode maps.

Some people go with the all in one lockpick summoner but they tend to clear slowly. That build would be something like:

100 Mage
100 Eval
100 Med
100 Picking
100 Remove Trap
100 Spirit Speak
100 Tracking

I'd personally go with the tamer + alt picker though.

You don't need Cart on the picker, he's just to decode the map and the skill isn't needed to dig up or open chests.

I haven't made a stealth picker but if I did I'd go:

120 Pick
120 RemoveTrap
100 Hide
100 Stealth
100 Wrestle
80 Magery
80 Resist

You can stealth the whole way and remain hidden when you pick so no need for peace. So the wrestle and resist would just be to get away from the odd pvp situation.

Also I've never done it but if you wanted to go all out you can do some crazy tinker trap stuff with tmaps spawns if you go tinkering on your picker.

120 Pick
120 RemoveTrap
120 Tinkering
100 Hide
100 Stealth
100 Wrestle
40 Magery (use recall scrolls)

Then you could add Fortune aspect (when you're rolling in cash) and it would be pretty crazy:

You would need to echo into a combat spec to level the aspect:

do you really need remove trap? I have gm LP and 0 trap on my tmapper and get by just fine. I rarely if ever get a trap to go off on me.
