Patch Notes

Hamstring
  • Hamstring has been restored to it's previous handling (3 seconds flat duration, regardless of player Dex)

Tracking
  • Tracking skill cooldown is now 5 seconds (previously was 10)
  • Tracking hunting mode now will activate every 5 seconds
  • Players may now track creatures in dungeons at full distance (tracking players in dungeons remains at 50% of normal max distance)

Echoes
  • The cooldown for Echo activation has been reduced to 12 hours (previously was 24 hours)

Ship Holds
  • NPC Ship Holds are no longer pickable via Lockpicking

Aspect Special Effects
  • Harmful spells cast against Tamed/Summoned creatures will no longer qualify to trigger an Aspect Special

Hiking Locations
  • Fixed an issue where players Unlocked Hiking locations "shifted" by several spots in the Atlas

Houses
  • Players can now Gate/Recall freely into open areas of public houses (only houses set to private require the player to be a Friend/Co-Owner/Owner to Recall or Gate into an area contained in the house)

Behemoth Basilisk
  • Fixed a crash issue with the Behemoth Basilisk
  • Fixed several abilities that werent properly targeting players on Area-of-Effect abilities

Lore Books
  • Players can now view (but not edit) Lore Books that are locked down in houses

Tomes of Heroism
  • Players can now view (but not edit) Tomes of Heroism that are locked down in houses

Tokens of Heroism
  • Players can no longer add a Token of Heroism to a Tome of Heroism while inside a dungeon

I think this is a good middle ground compromise for both sides.
Just want some clarity. Overland tracking is still 100 tiles at 5 sec pulse now?

Correct, 100 tiles at GM skill on 5 second pulse

Which makes it a slight bump, although with 100 Tile distance even at 10 second hunting intervals its pretty unlikely to get caught off guard by someone, heh

suggestion keep tracking change as is for dungeons but keep 10 spaces for stealthed players unless that wasnt changed. 5 tiles 5 seconds is a tough reaction .

We will consider adjusting tracking to reflect stealthers.
Na don't do it! Reveal, detect hidden, exp pots, dragging mobs with nasty AOE. Tracking still works @ 5 steps (more with detect). There are tons of counters. No need to give special treatment.

the tracking change just seems completely catered to whining pks "wah I cant kill anyone cuz they see me coming and get away"
The correct response to that is "find another profession/be more creative", not "oh let us help you kill people with a skill nerf".

it seems like a fair compromise (especially if stealth isnt halfed in next update) . zthe 5 second refresh will also reduce complaints when you feel tracking didnt work. Seems like a win win for both sides.

Id like to possibly see more defensive perks have an offensive purpose in pvm (resist reflect is great... a parry reflect would be handy!)

I thought parry has a chance to store and reflect spell dmg in pvm, no? (on a successful spell parry)
