ROAD TO LAUNCH / DEVELOPMENT PIPELINE

We are inching closer to announcing Outlands to the UO community at large, and wanted to take this opportunity to share with the beta community the tasks we're currently working on and their current status. 

The beta server remains up and you can login to test features and the latest patches.  Information regarding connecting is here: http://forums.uooutlands.com/showthread.php?tid=149

CURRENT STATUS:  ONLINE / TESTING
Animal taming was completed and implemented with the patch on 11/25. 
You can view the custom taming beastiary here. 
You can currently test animal taming on the test server.

CURRENT STATUS:  85% COMPLETE 
Societies is an indepth system which offers players tasks and assignments to complete on their own time.  
Reward points are given to players who complete the tasks and will provide unique rewards. 
The remaining work to do on the system includes assigning final rewards.

CURRENT STATUS: 95% COMPLETE / ONLINE / TESTING 
The guild overhaul includes a revamp of the menu system and a multitude of quality of life improvements. 
You can currently test the new guild system on the testing server. 
The remaining work to be done on the guild system includes the faction tie-in.

CURRENT STATUS: 90% COMPLETE / TESTING TO COMMENCE SOON
The ship & pirate system gets a "Version 2.0" upgrade from Luthius which builds on his extremely successful and well-loved system. 
The improvements include unique ways to improve your ship, work with NPCs as crew members, and mount attacks against others on the high seas.  This version also sees the menus re-imagined for further quality of life usability improvements.

CURRENT STATUS: 80% COMPLETE / TESTING TO COMMENCE SOON
Treasure hunting sees a complete overhaul, with over 500 unique treasure hunting locations being added to the world.

CURRENT STATUS: 60% COMPLETE
One of our mechanics to gather players throughout the world on certain occasions is the Corrupted Shrines system.  At regular intervals, once karma-positive shrines will be overtaken by the Chaos in the world. In order to restore them to their former glory, players will be encouraged to fend off the evil.  These experiences will include sequential spawns and other boss-type encounters.

CURRENT STATUS: 50% COMPLETE
The plant system has received an overhaul from the ground up, utilizing new (and some custom) artwork.  The menu is completely new, and the skill now incorporates the use of TasteID to aid you with your green thumb.

A multi-category achievement system is nearly in place which gives players goals to work towards.

Factions on Outlands will be accessible through your guild, and consist of Order vs. Chaos factions.  More info to come.

Outlands will not have the Age of Shadows "Custom Housing" system available. In it's place, we're offering over 100 new housing designs for you to choose from.  You can view them here. 
In terms of development, all of the houses have been designed and implemented into the files.  Left to do is assign prices, lockdown and secure counts per house and thoroughly test the housing menu.

CURRENT STATUS: 90% COMPLETE 
Aegis keep is a 3 level dungeon featuring a mini-boss and boss encounter. The theme of the dungeon is an abandoned Prevalian keep which is now inhabited by a group of blood-worshiping cultists. 
The map is currently complete and needs to be populated with monsters & dungeon chests.

CURRENT STATUS: 75% COMPLETE 
Mount Petram is version 2.0 of the dungeon formerly known as "Mount Oweno," a much loved dungeon build for Rel Por.  It has seen massive revisions for it's reintroduction on Outlands.  The theme of the dungeon is elemental and will most closely resemble a classic UO dungeon monster experience. 
The map is currently complete and needs to be populated with monsters & dungeon chests.

CURRENT STATUS: 100% COMPLETE
After over 5000 hours of development and generous contributions from around the UO community, the custom map is fully complete and ready to be tested.  We will be holding map testing sessions in the near future to allow players off the starting island and aid in debugging the map.  
The custom map features 3 main cities and 4 towns, and 8 multi-level dungeons, and 6 single level sub-subterranean experiences, in addition to a new player dungeon.  It is roughly 50% the size of Britannia, but jam-packed with unique content and points of interest to explore.
