That sounds like a lot.

I just use Steam. Add the exe in Steam. Use GE-Proton as the runner.

And the following parameters: PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1 %command%

Can run as many clients as you like and is rock solid.
 
You don’t even have to do that anymore. Just upload the .exe file to steam. Then run it in proton experimental. Works a charm. No added commands needed

I was using the same. But since Proton11 you no longer need to use GE-Proton if you so choose. For those unwilling to install 3rd party runners, they can just use what Steam provides now and the game runs flawlessly (at least for me on Mint with Cinnamon)
