Non-PvPers: Why don't you PvP?

Why don't you PvP on Outlands?

I'm new, but this thread is definitely missing a "my ping is too high for meaningful pvp" option. Though I admit I'm not keen on it anymore anyway, so I don't feel like I'm missing out.

Still, with a ping between 150-200 ms, mage pvp at least is pretty much impossible. I remember finally convincing my parents to get "fast path" which dropped my ping from 120 to about 50 back in the olden days and I suddenly felt like a god.
It makes a massive difference.

Nothing with PVP is worth it for me. It's actually very counterproductive for me and makes me not log in most days knowing i will just be killed by 5 nerds.

Are you guys playing with ping under 125?

I really wanted to get into PvP. So I did some reading, some watching, some arenas and ......... I was shocking. the point that it just became frustrating to have to get back, get armed again, and get out. I didn't have a CC home.

I guess, in reality, I don't want to do it enough to take, what I think is going to be a massive amount of time, to learn.

I don't want to PvP with others as the whole... find someone, everyone dump on them, they die, is just SOOO unappealing.

don't enjoy PVP but when shit goes down with the guildies i try to toss heals or land some hits... but I know people who really do pvp well and care a lot so I mostly try to stay out of the way. im not excited enough to learn and practice a ton and I'd still get destroyed by people who do... so meh.

'everyone play mage, target soandso, 2 1 drop' aint exactly thrilling to me at least. nor is pvp-ready 300 gold loadout people ambushing fat loot PVM targets.

Being rather new to Outlands, my toons are hardly a match to anybody that attacks me. It'll be quite some time before I've got a build that I can actively PvP with. Regardless of server, I've always enjoyed having one or two pvp toons on an account.

For me, I just prefer doing it where both parties consent. Yes, I understand the rules of the server imply consent. But I like to just chill and gather, explore, without worrying about getting ambushed.

If I was in the mood, I'd go to an area much like StV was in WoW, where it is expected to be attacked, to seek out that type of thing. I'd never attack people just gathering.

If a character goes red id like to see the whole master account go red including crafters. Then id be into pvp, never know if you would win that fight.

I proposed this some time ago in another conversation.
Any punishment applied for being a murderer is not a punishment at all while the player can simple swap to another character and proceed as if nothing happened.

Wearing a red label and being unable to get into cities with guard protection is one of the punishments - all the characters under the same Outlands Id should share the same criminal status; the player is the one being punished afterall. They have the PK city for that.

The same services provided in Prevalia (prev vendor, societies, etc) should be available in that city too.
