Rare Hues
- We have overhauled the handling on our "Holiday Dungeon Drops" that players can earn during our winter holiday season
- Previously, these items were random chance loot drops, however we have shifted towards a progression-based approach to players earning these reward items
The Crystalline Scepter event will run from December 13th at 11AM EST to January 3rd at 11AM EST.
Crystalline Scepter
- This season, players can earn Crystalline Scepters by earning gold in different Regions
- Each Region has their own Crystalline Scepter that can be earned that has a hue matching the Region's Dungeon Hue
- Crystalline Scepters are Blessed and occupy the Two-Handed Secondary layer when equipped
Region Progress
- As players earn gold from gameplay activity in a Region (by Killing Creatures, Picking Dungeon Chests, doing Ocean Content, etc) they will earn progress towards a Crystalline Scepter for that particular Region
- Possible Regions include all main Dungeons, Wilderness, Ocean, Netherzone, and Time Dungeon
- A player's progress for each Region is tracked seperately, but all progress for that Region is shared by all characters on their OutlandsID
- Each Region requires 1.5 million Gold worth of progress to receive a Crystalline Scepter
Holiday Region Reward Hotbar
- When a player makes progress on a Region, they will see a Hotbar displaying their current Region and Progression %
Note: This Hotbar will update at most once every 0.5 seconds, so if players earn a "burst" of progress (i.e. from killing multiple creatures simultaneously) it may not display the entire progress amount until the next update occurs after that 0.5 second cooldown passes
Progress Details
- Progress towards holiday rewards are not affected by any mechanics that increase the gold value of the activity or target (such as Guild Favors, Mastery Chain Links, Fortune Aspect, etc)
- Progress towards rewards will not receive any Group Scaling Bonuses
- Party Experience Sharing of damage will be considered for calculating a player's Gold earned from killing creatures, however
Region Completion
- When a player has reached 100% progress for a Region, they will immediately receive the Crystalline Scepter for that region, which will be placed in their backpack and will be Blessed
- Players can only earn 1 Crystalline Scepter per Region on their OutlandsID
Holiday Region Reward Commands
- Players can click the Small Orb Button in the Holiday Region Reward Hotbar to see a list of the [commands available to players to adjust settings for when the Hotbar will display
- Players can type [ShowHolidayRewardProgress to enable/disable whether the Hotbar displays automatically when earning progress for a Region
- Players can type [HideCompletedHolidayRewards to enable/disable whether completed Regions will display their Hotbar for the player
Curio Dyes
- Curio Dyes have now been permanently added to the Prevalia Merchant under the Curio Dye category
- Curio Dyes are available for each of the permanent Prevalia Merchant Hues
- Curio Dyes can be used on any past or present Event Reward item or Prevalia Merchant item that was given a rare, randomized hue
- Curio Dyes can also be used on any item that can be dyed with Furniture Dyes
Using Curio Dyes
- Each Curio Dye has one use (but is stackable) and when used will dye a valid item to adopt that hue
- To use a Curio Dye, the player must have the dye and the target item both in their backpack
- Double-click the Curio Dye and target the desired item, and then repeat this again to confirm the dye action
- Successful usage of the Curio Dye will consume it and dye the target item
Dye Tomes
- Players can now add Curio Dyes into Dye Tomes
Rare Hues
- Added Powder Fallon (Hue 1266) to the pool of Very Rare hues
