The Great Shuck Off - June 20th to June 27th

[Luthius]

Mid-Sea Land Event (Turn in Mid-Sea Oysters)
Hunt for the heaviest pearl by scouring the lands and waters of Avadon for Mid-Sea Oysters, then take them to Juno the Shuckster near Prevalia Bank for a proper shucking. The players with the heaviest pearls will win unique maritime rewards!

All Mid-Sea themed events begin Saturday, June 20th at 11AM ET and will run until Saturday, June 27th at 11AM ET.

How Do I Participate?
Mid-Sea Oysters

• Mid-Sea Oysters will occur as uncommon loot from most gameplay systems (Monster Corpses, Dungeon/Treasure Map Chests, Ship Holds, etc)

Shuckster (Turn in Oysters)

• If a player has collected one or more Mid-Sea Oysters, they can turn them into Juno the Shuckster NPC near Prevalia Bank
• Players can double-click the NPC or say "Oyster" or "Event" near them to launch the Event menu

• Players can click the "Turn in Items" button to turn in all Mid-Sea Oysters from their backpack

• The NPC will process each Mid-Sea Oyster into a Pearl, which has a randomized Weight, and then announce the Best Weight amongst all of them

• Throughout the event, players will have a Best Weight tracked for them, representing the best item they have turned in
• Players can see what their current Best Weight is in the Event Menu (their entry will display in Green text)
• Players can click the "Show My Player" button in the menu to jump to the page the player's Best Weight is displayed on

Event Rewards

• All players who participated in the event will be given a Rank %, based on how their Best Weight compares to all other players
• For instance, a player who had the 100th Best Weight out of 1000 total players, would have a Rank % of 90% (since their score is better than 90% of all other players)
• Based on their Rank %, each player will receive all Reward Items listed in below that their Rank % meets or exceeds (i.e. a player at Rank 80% will receive multiple items)

• Large Pearl Shell (Random Hue) [5-25% Rank]
• Pearl Candle (Animated, Random Hue, and Lightsource) [25-50% Rank]
• Pearl Encrusted Octopus (Random Hue) [50-70% Rank]
• Chest of Pearls (Container) [70-90% Rank]
• Mermaid with Pearl Statue (Random hue) [90-100% Rank]

Event End

• When the Event end, all Mid-Sea Oysters will be deleted

[Expo]

Congratulations to The Psychopath for shucking the largest pearl of the event, weighing in at 47.500 stones, the best of 6370 recorded entrants. Event rewards have now been distributed directly to the bank boxes of all qualifying participants.

If you still have your eye on Mid-Sea limited edition items, the Mid-Sea Merchant will remain available through Sunday, July 5 before setting sail until next year.

Thank you to everyone who took part, and congratulations to all of this year's winners!
