This is what I came up with, I've been playing a couple of weeks. But started UO in 1997 and my I love the original artwork, but its getting a little bit worn for my old eyes.
So be inspired and come up with something creative and unique to you !! You can do it !
**Sorry about the watermarks, but this took time!**
You can create your own modifications to the images , which may be ideal for vision enhancement / readability .
First acquire the images named by the HEX code the game uses ( 0x7d0 = paperdoll ) .
I have no file called hat. My skills is tranparent, even the font & I have to highlight to see them.

If you do not know what you are doing I would suggest not creating your own designs to replace the ones already in UO Outlands. Because they may come out distorted or transparent.
You will not find any files in the original directories called 0x7d0 because they are within .mul files that cannot be extracted.
Art Mod Exporter 00_psd_to_GumpOverrides.py = an interface to select art mods for install , their source PSD files are exported to PNG , then renamed to HEX , into a local GumpOverrides folder
select mods by checkbox then use Export All button at top
@jaseowns = thanks for creating the video ! @Cosmic Gnostic = awesome ! really like the runic circle minimap , and those buffs are so clean . cool to see other mods , very cohesive theme you went all out . @Salohcin = perhaps may favor the LightScrolls variant - download here
That looks nice right there! Some people I talked to noted they liked the nostalgia, so I can see you thought this through of keeping it true !
All hand carved by dwarves no doubt, but honestly, it must have taken so time and patience to complete. Its hard for content like this not to excite some people.
As I approached what I was doing I felt recreating the spells was going to be a hard pass, some of the original items (created by Gaechti) were good enough for me. So its nice to see you went ahead and tackled this to bring some more quality and clarity. For myself, purchasing a couple of packs from itch.io (50 paladin skill icons and free warlock skills) was enough for me to cut some bother out of the work I expected them to take.
It took me some time, but I went from my previous post, into recutting everything, redoing all the lighting and shading and coming up with some new paint templates for any future work. The buttons do take a while and I like what you've done with keeping the buttons connected to the design work of the paperdoll gump. People might not notice that, but well done, it looks spot on !
Yes the compass did leave me stumped at some points, I was wondering how it worked.
I made a couple of custom paperdolls for guildmates, and just was considering taking it a little futher, and also trying to help Salochin as well. I think he'll definately find use with your light scrolls. I'll be checking those out for sure !
Working on coherent UI elements so that overall uniformity would be preserved. This is still a WORK IN PROGRESS but wanted to get some early feedbacks if you like.
