What are the circumstances of your stealing attempts? Raised town awareness, players and NPCs nearby?

type [considersins and see how much of a buff the town has at spotting you. You need to move from town to town and try to steal not near a bunch of players/NPCs as they each do their own check. Always use a kit and always be hidden.

The best place to steal is in dungeons though. Just stealth through Maus 3 and shop around for T-maps/aspects. Sometimes you get some bonus stealth block kills as well.

Yeah should be difficult to steal unnoticed outside a bank with 30 people seeing.
