Guide and Script: Animal Taming AFK Skill Gain in ClassicUO!

The moment you've all been waiting for... A Classic UO script for AFK Animal Taming skill gain!

Here is a link to a guide that I've written that explains how to use Zell/Olabia/Amelia Ketel's script. HUGE shoutout to Zell for being the first person to publish a foolproof AFK Taming script for Classic UO so we can finally thank UOSteam for it's service and NEVER use it again ;)

If you have any feedback, reach out to Zell or myself, we're happy to make this guide and script even better!

That is a thing of beauty right there. Can't wait to try it, just need 9 more epic skill scrolls and a few hundred junk skill scrolls for my next echo.

Great script Hannah Humble, can i ask you where did you find the documentation to make this script?
I can see you have used such things like

createlist
removelist
createtimers

But i cant find it in the official documentation http://www.razorce.com/guide/

Thanks alot

I followed this steps by steps but i cant seems to make it work... i just have a lot of system message like "which person do you which to transfer to" and it keep cycling the context menu options over and over but nothing happen. And i have "item not found" message too.. I have a dagger in my backpack, i am not wearing aspect gear, i have bandages, i just dont know what to do anymore. Im GutscranK#7881 on discord if you want to reach to help, that would be much appreciated. Thank you

We'll message yo on discord, it's likely an issue with Razor settings :)

@Oldoff and @Undersalted -- The script has always worked and people commonly make mistakes with the settings or by trying to tame non-aggressive animals. We are always making the script better and better, but my recommendation would be to get yourself up to 70 taming then use this script the rest of the way :)

I'm also confused, it worked fine doing frogs, but soon as I try cave bears all it does is try to release or tame my cave bear tank...

Yes, you cannot have a tank pet that is the same as the animal you are trying to tame. I recommend using a Rock Guar or Collossal Frog as a tank at this stage :)

I had a bit of problem like this, so I tamed by hand until you are done with cave bears and it worked smoothly after that.

Ahh, thanks. This makes total sense if only the guide didn't say "use a cave bear under 70! and also train cave bears under 70!".

Can anyone explain what the dagger stuff is about?

Can you please point me to where it says this in the guide? We will make sure to remove this.

The script utilizes the dagger in your backpack to find and establish the 'last target' that the rest of the script will use to do it's work. A bit of hack... the dagger itself doesn't do anything, it's merely a mechanism that enables the rest of the script. :)

Should I be using a weapon or not? If I don't have a weapon equipped it takes a long time to recycle the mob after successful taming... if I have one equipped then the macro keeps attacking the mob even while attempting to tame which causes the error "enemy has taken dmg etc"
