Rangers excel at being aware of their surroundings and can quickly search an area to find targets of value, such as rare or paragon creatures. Additionally, they are also adept at spotting incoming potential threats such as enemy players. They are quite capable of dealing as well as preventing significant amounts of damage in melee combat.

I haven't tried a lot of stuff with mages yet, but iv done basically solely warriors so heres dis

I went 100str 100dex 25 int for every build here basically
Harvester Dexxer (Berserker)
Macing/Swords
anatomy
healing
tactics
magic res/arms lore
Mining/Lumber
forensic eval

This was the second template I did and was impressed with the results. I was hittin for around 15-20 dps per second on both, with a shadow iron gm grinding wep (battle axe/black staff) with a lil more macing. I ended up going for spell resist since its pretty brutal to 1v1 any magic mob without it really, its a little less bad with resist spell pots but more often i would forget bout it and take a randy 40 damage flamestrike and panic lol. I think macing in general is better for this template since you can also use 1handed and the macing effect seemed to be a lil better personally. If you're using this for more group play arms lore is probably just fine.

VERDICT: I think its pretty balanced and good, lotta raw damage and simple, probably one of the best for gold farming since you can mine/lumber on the side if people are taking your prized farm spots. Drizzle Approved

GEAR: copper bone armor, shadow gm weps

Stealth Dexxer

Stealth

Howdy hey it's the sneaky bandit. Now this template was actually a lot more fun then what i initially thought it would be, and it seemed to be be surprisingly effective with melee skills too along with archery. The AI mechanics really benefit melee stealthers cause they'll run and chase ya to where you hid, usually at the turn of a corner. For stealth archers, being able to attack from any distance is admittedly a lot less work and works probably even better as a whole lol. Its kinda hard to calculate DPS when you 1 shot low end enemies, but i imagine it would be around 12-15. The biggest issue is that (solo), taking down higher health more challenging mobs is really a pain to do, so I don't recommend it as a solo farm build really. Being able to 1 shot an imp tho? super satisfying. Great with Grinding weapons, xbow, macing, swords, short spear. My best to worst would be: Archery, Swords, Macing, Fencing for this. Overall, fun and different. Fencing/Poison felt kind of weak with this personally, but running put behind things and stabbing them with a pitchfork is an experience you dont wanna miss.

VERDICT:   Drizzle approved, even if im impatient with stealth timers lolol.

GEAR: gm shadow bone armor, gold gm weapons

Nox Dexxer
Fencing
anatomy
healing
tactics
spell res
Poisoning
Tracking, forensic eval, arms lore,parry

So with this build I chose arms lore cause hitting more with 50% increase damage more often was nice with poison. However i was kinda disappointed with how slow poison ticks, and how often it eats up a charge making it not really a worthy hassle compared to something like swords, where you can take something besides poisoning too. Personally I think poison is a bit underwhelming atm and would like to see it be increased in how often it ticks, or the damage being increased a bit, either way. I imagine this may change a bit with the Poison Aspect armor, but stand alone i think it's kinda on the weaker end, and its mostly because of poison not bein crazy good with melee skills atm.

VERDICT: Drizzle wants it to be good ;_;

GEAR: Bone Armor, Gm bronze pitchfork
Parry Dexxer (Soldier)
Swords/macing
Anatomy
Healing
Tactics
Magic res
Parry
armslore/mining

Za classic knight looking character. I tested this with bone armor initially, and then plate armor. Good plate armor is near mandatory if you're planning to take on any mid or high level mob, as bone for me didn't really cut it once I got into fights with some of the higher end mobs in Nursero. Gear really does make this character meh to good, but I still found it a bit weak on the tanking end still even with full plate and a chaos shield, even supplemented with magic res pots. I managed to kill a smoke dragon, ember dragon, elder dragon but they still kicked my ass pretty good. I had better success with an axe rather than a sword and shield combo personally, but I would personally say the sword and board has its place with something like a boss where its a long drawn out fight. With shields, id like to see a fun bonus effect with em, I know the Lion Knight in Ossuary have a chance to reflect spells back with his shields and i think that would be welcome to help the sword and shield be a lil better and increase survivability a bit. Oh, and macing is also works just as well if not a lil better than swords, but swords look cooler.

VERDICT: I still think its one of the better PvM builds, but still kinda lacks in the whole tanking aspect.  Drizzle Approved

GEAR: Shadow Iron gm plate/bone armor + heater, gold broadsword/axe.

BARDCHER (and other melee skills)
Archery
Healing
Tactics
Res spells/tracking/mining/lumber/forens/alchy
Anatomy
Music
disco/provo/peace

Pretty basic build i think, the build itself doesn't need a lot of discussion but barding seems really solid here. Discord Is amazing, seems to be immensely useful for longer fights like bosses and high health enemies. Provo is really good for dungeon farming, as to be expected. Peacemaking is basically a 40 second stun, which is especially good if you're the tamer type, and just kind of in general, you only need 1 enemy for peacemaking and 2 for provo, but it is a tad slower. I think each barding skill has its own useful niche and each works as perfectly viable. Things like slayer instruments and colored wood instruments only increase how useful it is with a lotta the mid/high levels mobs as well. Didn't have the chance to test it on bosses, just level 3 nursero and ossuary.

VERDICT:   Drizzle Approved, probably best PvM dexxer build(s)

That's most of the templates I did, but I did most of the muckin around with skills and such.

ARMS LORE:
Arms lore is kind of the RNG vs guaranteed damage, it's fine when you get the good rng, but kinda lackluster when you don't lol, disarming is nice tho. I like it as a skill, works super well with stealth

MINING/LUMBERJACKING:
I mean it's just free damage that you have grind many sleepless nights for, hell ya

TRACKING:
Works fine for what it is, replaced it for mining/jacking a couple of times but just got a lil tired of doin the stuff for it, good stuff. works well with stealth archer types too.

FORENSIC EVAL:
Not gonna lie, didn't really use it too much, but when I did It worked just fine.

Overall I really like how dexxers feel, I feel like they're really personalized and flexible which is really unique for dexxer cause they're usually pretty cookie cutter. Not sure if they deal the most damage tho, mages seem really good but im still testing those so ya.

I did a stealth lumberjack last night and was hitting between 120-199 with the shadow strikes, nearly killing some mid level mage mobs with one shot.
It was very satisfying to see a mob take that much damage in a split second AND get bleeding damage when RNGesus smiled on my rolls. We're definitely going to have stealth grunts for pvm and pvp. Get ready oomies!

I ran three 1-hour tests of the Soldier template; here are the results and some of my meandering thoughts:

*All weapons and armor were regular+Indestructable (for durability).  I used bandages and pots, and was "Full" with "Adequate" food (Cooked Fish Filet), which granted me the possibility to passively regenerate health, stamina, and mana X2 (60%, 60%, 15% respectively).

Hour 1: Nusero Dungeon Level 2

Equipment: Full Chain, Viking sword, Metal Kite Shield.
Total Dropped Gold: 3834
Special Drops: Lesser Paragon Chest, Simple Ruin Spellbook, Lyric Aspect Extract, Eldrich Aspect Extract
DPS: 6.19

Impressions: this build worked pretty well against the sort of mobs found in Nusero.  Dragons took a while to take down, but were easily manageable. Spell-casters were difficult to deal with though, despite 100 Resist.

Hour 2: Mausoleum Dungeon Level 2

Equipment: Full Chain, Scimitar, Metal Kite Shield.
Total Dropped Gold: 4533
Special Drops: Lesser Paragon Chest, Charged Spellbook, Accurate Quarter Staff, Accurate Spear
DPS: 7.15

Impressions: Fights against the Carrion Beatles resulted in what seemed like an extremely high number of "whiffs," whereas fights against Flesh Hounds seemed to hit 95% of the time.  Again, magic casters seemed to be the greatest weakness.

Hour 3: Pulma Dungeon Level 2

Equipment: Full plate, Longsword, Heater Shield.
Total Dropped Gold: 3875
Special Drops: Expert T-Map, Arcane Scroll, Simple Ruin Spellbook, Ruin Spellbook, Charged Ruin Spellbook, Defense Studded Skirt, Durable Ruin Katana
DPS: 7.37

Impressions: First and most importantly, it seemed like the Precursor Guardians are WAY overpowered.  After quickly dying a couple of times against them, I just had to admit defeat and avoided them; this build just couldn't keep up with the damage they were dealing.  Loot drops seemed better here, overall.  I secretly suspect that the "Overseers" are Hanar, but I've never seen them outside the Citadel.  Perhaps we've located the lost Quarian Ark; more investigation is needed...

Final thoughts:

This build isn't really my style; standing/grinding, outhealing the mob's damage, etc. so it wasn't really very "fun" for me.  The write-up mentions that this build can "stand toe-to-toe against most enemies" but I found that simply isn't the case.  I conducted all testing on Level 2, and still had difficulty with some of the mobs.  Farming 12,442 gold over three hours seems pretty good; though this might not be considered very much once you're character is 7x like this one.  I would hesitate to use this build as a group's tank, unless there were some seriously experienced cross-healers and support mages in the ranks.  One other thing: I thought my dex would be taking more of a hit since I was wearing heavy armor, but it really wasn't a factor.  Whenever I'd get low (which honestly wasn't very often), I would eat some fish, or chug a pot.

I LOVE WARRIORS---> I am new player in this UO Outlands and seeing this, makes me understand more the mechanics! thank you! BTW, where can i find info on what skills do at gm, as arms lore etc have impact on damage etc, of which i didn't know
