RP Guild List

Fay Tayler

Neophyte
Boulderfist Orc Clan [Ork]
RP-PVP/PVM

Guildmaster: Kil'gu (although leadership is shared among senior Orcs) (Discord - Kil'gu)

The Boulderfist Orc Clan is a role playing guild focused on PvP and PvM, shiny loot, and wildly over exaggerated tales of badassery . We will most likely be found at choke points and crossroads hassling the newbies for their shoes and dirt napping when the gank squad comes. Think of us as slightly smarter mobs. I said slightly! There we go.
We've been a clan for nearly a decade now and are always looking for fresh pugs to train to replace those that have been called away to that far off land of torture and bills (Real life)

Just remember, offer tribute or become the tribute!

East Avadon Trading Company {EATC}
LITE RP, PVP HEAVY

Guildmaster(Captain): Brandon (Diso/Forum- Dewderonomy)
Purser, Trader: Fay Van Raily (Disco/Forum - Rouge/Fay Tayler)

Extort Establish the Bay as an independent community of like-minded traders, smugglers seafarers, freebooters fishermen and craftsmen while providing military support at sea to defend its naval assets (and definitely not enforcing licensing to sail the seas).

House Dayne of Starfall [H*D]
LITE RP/ PVM/CRAFTER

Guildmaster: Arthur Dayne (Disco- [H*D]Arthur Dayne)

House Dayne will be a light-rp multi-faceted guild. The Societies system places great emphasis on guilds being involved in a lot of different activities, so we won't pidgeonhole ourselves to just one. We will be involved in everything but Player Killing and Thievery! PvM and Crafting will be the strong emphasis for the first several months after launch, to establish ourselves and get our cut of the prime housing available as well as fund our other endeavors. After that, we intend to align with Order (note that you don’t have to be flagged for Faction combat being in an Order guild) and do some PK hunting/Dungeon guarding if it suits us (as both a pvp and rp activity).

The Prevalian Royal Navy [PRN]
RP-PVP

Guildmaster: Prevalian Royal Navy (Disco - [PRN]Prevalian Royal Navy)

The Prevalian Royal Navy is a role playing guild focused on player vs player combat. Although most of our efforts will be put towards sea combat our specialized marines will be taking the fight to the land as well. We are currently accepting recruits in anticipation of the server launch. Many of our current members have been gaming together on multiple UO shards as well as other MMOs and as a close knit group we're poised to jump right into Outlands and make an impact. Of course that's not to say we aren't looking for new members to fill out our ranks.

Recruitment post for PRN

(If you wish to add your guild to the list please post below)

Is this it?

I'm sorry to see that if it is. The Roleplaying Community has usually had decent numbers. Either few are interested these days, few know about Outlands, or few find it appealing enough.

I'd be interested in taking my guild (the Undead) this route, at least lite RP, but there would need to be more for Roleplayers to do so. Otherwise roleplayers are existing among a community that isn't interacting with them in RP terms, and that sort of undermines the purpose.

I'd love to see this grow.

There are more, however the RP community has a way of spazzing out and not allowing anyone to participate who does not meet their completely ridiculous and constantly shifting prerequisites to join their club.

So there are more people out there RPing but they are probably so sick of being told they aren’t doing it the right way that they completely bail out on listing themselves on threads like this.

Just go out and do your thing if you want to and don’t worry about the rest

I was concerned about that.

I actually asked a player here what the rules of roleplaying are in a private message. A detailed question on what's expected and such. The dude spazzed out immediately and was condescending as fuck, acting as if I were trying to trick him or something, so I just said fuck it.

I'm brand new downloading it right now. Just heard about it from other roleplayers that are also joining. I hope to bring more RP to the server currently trying to get in touch with RP guilds or non guilded RPers

There are no rules. Some guilds/groups might have RoE's in place (looting, etc) or other self-imposed restrictions (gear, skillsm, language, etc).

Lots of folks RP'ing and "lite RP'ing" - and lots of folks who don't RP who are very tolerant & supportive of it.

GL HF Don't RIP

I know the orcs had a language you had to use. Others I have been around wanted no OOC talk. That's more or less what I was asking about. How stingy people are about OOC talk and language.

I've been around a few RP groups over the years, but its been awhile and I've only participated once before. Was cool, but its been almost 20 years.

I think it's up to each individual Airicx on how they want to RP - the problem as some have stated is that some want to make sure others RP fits within their own, and others want to some how WIN RP without actually understanding that the journey is often you winning. In reality with some creativity, you can make anything fit anywhere with roleplay, even a square, into a circular shaped hole.

I'm currently running with the [Ex]ile Company - a band of mercenaries often spotted around Cambria / Andaria. We are a lite RP group, some of us are far more RP than others, tolerant of all styles out there however. We are for hire, for the right price, we can be used in a number of different ways that we don't publicize, we are willing to take on bounties for reds, or other players, as well as other conceivable tasks. If you are interested in our services, reach out to one of us in game, I'm sure we can come to an agreement.

I am certain that I saw a couple of "Drow" today! Welcome to Outlands! Looking forward to roleplay with you guys!

Unfortunately Fay has been gone a long time - and no one is on the list that actually plays anymore :joy:
Would be nice if Erik or someone in Staff would keep the list, I bet if one of us put together a list with a description for each of the active guilds, we could probably get this started, and forward to Erik or someone to post..
