The Fractal Depths: A Frozen Mystery of Cavernam
Deep beneath the icy expanse of Cavernam lies a newly uncovered labyrinth—a vast, glimmering dungeon whose layout mirrors the intricate geometry of a snowflake. This deeper level, untouched for centuries, radiates a mysterious energy that has drawn the attention of scholars and explorers alike.

Chief Engineer Arthus of the Cambrian dwellers has studied the phenomenon and believes this crystalline design is no accident. According to Cambrian lore, the ancient architects of this frozen expanse sought to harness the fractal symmetry of ice crystals to amplify magical energy, creating a powerful nexus deep underground.

But their experiments awoke something darker: a curse of eternal frost. When their magic spiraled out of control, their civilization was frozen in time, their very souls trapped within the ice. Now, the dungeon stirs again: the fractal design hums faintly with power, as if calling out for something to awaken it.

Arthus has set up an expedition headquarters in Outpost, tasking adventurers to gather expedition items: animal fat candles, salted fish and meat, fur garments, medical supply bundles, ice picks and chisels, insulated barrels, cast iron cookware, polar skin bedrolls, dog sleds, and Glacium Crystals—believed to be the key to breaking through the permafrost.

With every contribution, the icy barriers within the dungeon begin to shift and crack, revealing frozen flora, glittering crystalline structures, and strange echoes of the past. Pale, frostbitten figures stir within the icy walls, their skeletal hands clawing free as the dungeon awakens.

These undead guardians were once the ancient architects themselves, cursed to protect the very magic that doomed them. Their spectral voices whisper through the halls, warning intruders of the dangers ahead. Ancient runes etched into the icy walls tell fragmented tales of a civilization's hubris and a powerful relic hidden at the heart of the fractal maze—a relic said to bind the curse or unleash its full power.

The deeper level beckons, full of crystalline beauty and frozen dread. Will you aid Arthus in breaking the curse and uncovering the relic, or will the withered dead rise to claim yet another victim for their frozen prison?

  • Clicking the "Contribute" button next to a Material Type in the menu will contribute 1 item of that type from the player's backpack, and increase their [EventScore by the amount listed

Fingers crossed the dungeon has some Ossuary-esque tablets on the walls!

Very cool concept. The map and wearable both look great.

What is considered "Special Cooking Ingredients"? Are raw ribs part of that? I don't think so, but I'm not entirely sure is why I'm asking.

how do people have 50k points?

I just bought a board comm for 130k and used the entire thing with a glacium crystal and got absolutely nothing.

Dumb.

Thanks to your efforts, Chief Engineer Arthus and the Cambrian Dwellers have set out on their journey and will arrive at the entrance to Cavernam Level 4. The long-hidden Fractal Depths await, promising untold dangers for only the boldest adventurers to explore. Arthus extends his heartfelt gratitude to BeardedBaron, who achieved an outstanding Event Score of 132,244, surpassing the contributions of nearly 4980 other citizens with their remarkable generosity.
