LFG thread - players seeking a guild or group

The time has come to join a group. LFG!

I have been playing for a bit now strictly solo and I have my Taming to GM (Thanks Khal Drogo for the guide!). I'm a casual player dating back to my days on Pacific. I enjoy light role play but I don't want to hear your voices via Discord. It ruins the illusion for me. :p

I'm not looking for handouts to get started. Yes, I'm homeless but I could not stand not having a blessed rune book. Sacrifices had to be made.

I reside in the Central time zone but I play often work permitting.

I'm looking for a mature group to enjoy this new world with.

A little about you & your UO story: I played Pacifica back in 99 till 01. I played off and on since then mostly on freeshards. Never really played a pvp character before but it always interested me. I'm looking for a guild who could show me the ropes a bit. I'm just starting out on Outlands and will be making a mage of some sort at first.

A little about you & your UO story: From Houston, Tx and started watching my friend play this game in 1999-2000, then i got into it not long after. started playing when UO:R came out and played on Catskills shard, fell in love with it. quit playing when AOS and didn't like it anymore. so years later here i am back and looking for that perfect Guild to help an old/new player begin his journey again!

Type of guild you're looking for: Looking for some pvm buddies and people to show me the ropes regarding crafting on this server. I mostly play Friday nights and through the weekend.

I started on Great Lakes 20 years ago and played casually as a teen, then got into free shards sporadically in my twenties. Most recently coming from UoR and enjoying the degree of different templates you can use on this server, but currently running a Macer and a Blacksmith.

I'm open to any type of guild. I'd like a group to use my 7x pvm character with, and I'd also like to use my defensive mage in pvp. I have some recent D&D experience too and am totally open to RPing. My mule can pick locks, remove traps, and ID items too. Like most players, I've been playing for like 20 years. I started on UOO in 2019 but fizzled out, and only just started playing again. I used to play on Demise, Defiance, UOForever, Hybrid, UODestiny, and a bunch of others that I don't remember, as well as AOL Legends way back when.

background: used to play on a free server called uo gamers (I think) back in like 02-04ish. I primarily played pvp. The shard was 10x skill gain old brittania rules. Pretty sure all the skills were the vanilla pre trammel skills. I did a lot of pk hunting, dueling and faction wars.

A little about you & your UO story: Originally played on OSI Europa around T2A right up until artefacts came out (early 2000s?) Followed this up several years on a shard called Defiance. Made a name for myself as a top dexer with fast connection, despicable acts with my disarm-thief, and running a medi-fencer bodyguard to a renowned stat-loss tamer PK. Never been a into mage vs mage PvP, but definitely dished out a few concussion blows in my time :) Also very partial to farming with my tamer back in the day.

Only been on a couple of days, but the whole experience of Outlands so far from a technical perspective is amazing. The launcher looked great, but when I saw the graphics running smoothly with all the resolution options I knew I wanted to get properly stuck into this. I've just managed to GM fence,tactics,anat outside prevalia and ready to explore a bit.

Type of guild you're looking for: I'm LF a casual, friendly socially active guild. I'm not into overly structured guilds or bunches of rules, I just wanna chill with people and play UO. I like shared goals, I don't mind sharing profits and I love group crafting. I'm also interested in joining a roleplay guild, ideally, bandit or pirate themed, but I can adapt to anything.

A little about you & your UO story: I started playing UO around 2000 with Renaissance on Europa and got heavily involved with the Yew RP scene at the time (TCR!). I guess I stopped playing around Pub 16, the whole artefacts thing just changed the game too much away from what made me like it, and it killed the RP scene entirely. I've dipped in and out over the years, the nostalgia kept me coming back, and here I am again.

A little about you & your UO story: Didn't played UO much at all. Played on the official servers for several hours some years ago. Now I tried Outlands and I'm hooked :) I have a 9-5 job and a kid so can play only for few hours from ~21:30 till 01:00 GTM+3. I'm looking for a newbie friendly guild where I can learn and grow.

A little about you & your UO story: Played UO from the week it was released and thoroughly enjoyed running around in a confused state, picking regs off the floor, making funny faces at the zombies in Moonglow graveyard and swinging my pickaxe at any rocks foolish enough to stand still.

Obviously, as my user name would suggest, I'm Scottish, quite crusty (52 years old) but will be highly active, very friendly (stop laughing, it's true!) and I plan to build up an Outlands empire (and character roster) of hideous beauty!

Also, I'm very team-orientated and believe you recruit the player, not the character. Speaking of which, here are my "works in progress" and I'm happy to adjust based upon advice/guild requirements:

Isserley - "main" character - Mining, camping (love the extra carry weight!), tinker, blacksmith, magery

Morag MacDuff - Armslore, mace fighting, anatomy, tactics, resist, camping, parry, healing (juggling resist/camping, can't decide which to keep)

Moonstone - Hiding, stealth, lock picking, disarm, magery, resist, meditation (was planning to use this to farm dungeon chests and do low level tmaps - have since learned that it's far from an ideal build)

Bloodstone - Fencing, anatomy, tactics, healing, parry, resist, forensics (leather farmer - very much a work in progress)

Wildstone - Taming, animal lore, vet, magery, musicianship, discord, peacemaking (freshly created, generic tamer/farmer)

Anyway, sorry for the wall of text.

A little about you & your UO story: I played the BF around 20 years ago, mainly as a Miner/BS and a Mage/Bard for around 8 years. I want to come back to this lovely game as a casual player, looking to raid some monsters, focusing also on crafting (if it is still a thing). Don't have that much time to play nowadays, but I expect to have a mage, a fighter and 2 crafters.
