Right... archers do so much face tanking.

My point is that the number and color of links has become fairly meaningless as power is now determined by build more than anything. So ultimately "link printing" doesn't matter and there's no need to reduce it.

That leaves the only real issue with societies: that it's much more rewarding to do afk crafting jobs with zero risk than to undertake any of the active jobs, many of which are almost impossible to complete. Why spend all week trying to find 4 paragons in Pulma for 9 points, dealing with pks all the while, and risking all that time being wasted if you don't get lucky, when you could spend 15 minutes whipping out deadly poison kegs for a guaranteed 10 points?

I think you are underselling the investment of the deadly poison keg job specifically, but overall your point stands.

This is from the dev pipeline which as of 1/27 shows to be 95% complete:

Overhaul the algorithms for Society Job creation to fix balancing issues for job "costs" and relative time/effort related to reward value for jobs

Add IP restriction for Society Job completion (address issues of players using 3x accounts for cranking out crafting jobs)
So at this point what we can hope for is a few things:

This is speculation

This may mean that the IP restriction applies to a specific job. IE, you cant take the deadly poison job 3 times, but you can take it once (nightshade stock in SHAMBLES).

If so, then this is somewhat of a marriage of the problems between 30 jobs being too many, and 10 being too few. 30 is too many when talking about farming 250k in a dungeon, but 10 is too few if you were already diversifying what you did (IE, you did not have 2-3 alch/scribes).

This would mean that you will likely still have your alch/scribe account, but your other 2 accounts will need to do something different, like the monster slaying and/or adventurer societies.

And we should all hope the paragon stuff is removed or lowered dramatically.

The biggest concern is power creep - all those gold links, can flush more gold into the economy faster, thus un-stabilizing it as well - all valid concerns.
Not having a way to get gold links beyond omni/t8 will push more gold into the economy as players farm hard in an effort to just buy links on the open market, thus sending more cash to those who would be controlling gold link supplies, large guilds and end game players.

At least with societies, especially artificer, people SPEND gold in order to obtain links.
